Description
Headaches are the most common pain condition in the United States. About 45 million Americans (about 1 in 7 people) suffer from headaches (28 million of them from migraines), resulting in an annual lost income of about $25 billion. There are 5 main types of cephalgias (headaches): vascular, myogenic (muscle tension), cervicogenic, traction, and inflammatory.
In this workshop we’ll look at headaches from a unique perspective, as a whole body-mind experience, and a whole life experience, with possible onsets happening anywhere along the life spectrum, from conception to the present moment. We’ll discover how traumas play a major role in the development of acute and chronic headache patterns, and in particular, the unique cranial traumas that occur during birth. Most importantly, we’ll learn and practice an effective Biodyanmic CST sequence presenter Gary Peterson developed for working with this crippling condition.
About the Presenter
Gary Peterson is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST ®) who has been teaching and practicing energy therapies for over 30 years. He teaches Craniosacral Therapy trainings and Polarity Therapy trainings at various locations around the United States, as well as classes on Settling, birth imprinting and other therapeutic work for the nervous system.
His teaching and private practice are inspired by his strong desire to understand and alleviate the deep causes of suffering found with stress and trauma to the nervous system.
Gary’s first book, Settling: Simple Ways to Calm Your Nervous System, will be published in 2011. This self-help manual gives you a set of vital skills for regulating your nervous system to experience balance and relaxation. Gary and his wife Bonnie have 3 grown children and live in Longmont, CO.
