Biodynamic Viscera Series
Starts October 27-29
Working with the viscera involves a unique level of skill development, combining subtle palpation skills, perceptual awareness and knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology. Learning these visceral skills will mark a significant increase in your effectiveness with clients, many of whom suffer from visceral conditions and traumas.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Foundation Training
Health is never lost !! Our next BCST training will start in early 2011. Become a Registered Craniosacral Therapist by completing this 2-year training. For details about the training, go to STAR’s Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Trainings page. For further information, email Gary Peterson.
Working with Babies
Working with Babies is an ongoing 1-day class taught by Gary Peterson, RCST, highlighting various clinical skills and experience in being with little ones and their parents, helping them resolve the effects of prenatal and birth trauma.
Each 1-day class features a demonstration session with Gary, a baby and her parents, following by de-briefing and Q&A. Also including are didactic presentations, short film presentations, and Biodynamic session exchanges that highlight prenatal and birth issues.
Working with Babies classes happen about once every 2 months. The next class will be held on August 24.

Settle and Sing, Laugh and Swing!! (aka SASLAS)
A two-hour frolic to celebrate life at the end of your stressful work week ! SASLAS is one part Settling, one part sing-along, one part laugh therapy and one part free-dancing..........the best get-down Friday night you ever had !

Biodynamic Skills Workshops for the Public
Biodynamic Skills are a set of unique, body-based skills that have emerged from the practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.They are based on the awareness that each person is inherently healthy and whole, no matter what sort of conditions they are dealing with.
Biodynamic Skills are gentle and non-invasive, and are highly effective in working with a wide range of emotional and physical challenges. They help balance the nervous system and resolve the effects of stress and trauma, leading to greater relaxation, focus, attention, felt-sense awareness, and sensory processing.
With these skills you can help yourself, family, friends, clients and community to experience greater health and well-being on a regular basis.
Each Biodynamic Skills workshop focuses on a special area, such as:

Introduction to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Introduction to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a 3, 4 or 5 day class that teaches you the basic Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy principles and skills to add to your own healthcare practice, or to help you decide about taking a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Foundation Training. The 5-day Intro class also meets a requirement for the Castellino Prenatal and Birth Therapy Training in Santa Barbara, CA.
The next Introduction to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy will be held in the SF Bay Area in the fall of 2010 or in early 2011. For more information, email Gary Peterson.

Introduction to Settling
Settling is a gentle, body-based process that anyone can learn to help them calm and regulate their nervous system. Settling helps you re-pattern your nervous system to the slow, relaxed rhythms of your Inherent Health and away from the habitual patterns of stress and overwhelm your nervous system is generally entrained to. Settling is based on the book Settling: Simple Ways to Calm Your Nervous System, by Gary Peterson, due in print in late 2010. The Introduction to Settling is offered in 2 and 3 day formats and is open to the public.

Settling Teacher Training
The Settling Touch and Resource (STAR) The STAR Teacher Training enables you to expand your skills, increase your earning power, and join us in offering a vital service needed by almost everyone in modern life. In this training you’ll learn how to settle yourself deeply and experience Inherent Health. You’ll learn important Settling skills for helping people resolve stress and trauma. Then you’ll learn how to teach these settling skills to others in a format called Introduction to Settling. Upon completion of the training you’ll join our network and you’ll be approved to teach the Introduction to Settling workshop to the public.
After completing this foundation training, you’ll have the required background to train for and teach other Settling workshops. The next STAR Teacher Training is tentatively scheduled to start in the fall of 2011. For more information, email Gary Peterson.
